WENO-TV, channel 31 (cable channel 3), is the PBS member station serving Central and Middle Ianistan, licensed to Abbington. The station primarily serves Abbington, Bozrah County, and Lisbon County. Its studios are located at 620 Edna Street, Abbington, at the State University of Abbington. Its transmitter is located at Sidereal State Park in Woodbark. Until July 2018, the station was not officially a PBS member, but did simulcast some PBS programming from WEPB-TV in Eastwick. This was due to the configuration of WENO and WEPB's transmitters, with WENO unable to provide broadcasts south of the Odobasic Parkway and WEPB unable to provide broadcasts north of the Brightland Bridge Turnpike in Wilkinson. In 2018, with the sign on of WIPR-LD / WSKY-LD, WENO's transmitter was no longer stressed to provide service to more isolated portions of Northern ianistan.
WENO was the fourth television station to sign on in Ianistan and was the second of Ianistan's three public television stations. In addition to standard PBS programming, WENO broadcasts more Ianistan-specific programming than WEPB, which is due in part to some of the independence that it was granted by not being an actual PBS member for several years.
